GET TO THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM: Empero travels down the plant to take out nutsedge and other weeds at the root level. Plus, you can apply with confidence to nearly any established turf area.
VERSATILE: Empero is gentle on desirable grasses and may be used in residential lawns, golf courses, sports turf, woody ornamental landscapes, and many non-crop settings.
3 SIMPLE STEPS TO TOTAL NUTSEDGE TAKEDOWN: 1. Identify Nutsedge: Locate nutsedge or Kyllinga breakouts and determine the amount of solution needed (each gallon will treat 1,000 sq ft). 2. Mix with Water & Surfactant: Fill sprayer, add 1 scoop of Empero per gallon of water, and 2 tsp surfactant per gallon. Mix or shake until dissolved. 3. Spray Target Weeds: Ensure thorough coverage of weeds (wet the entire leaf surface). For best results, apply to nutsedge in the 3-8 leaf growth stage.
STOP NUTSEDGE SPREAD: Each nutsedge tuber can produce as many as 1900 new plants per year. Plucking nutsedge by hand is the worst thing you can do.

APPLICATION RATE FOR SEDGE CONTROL IN TURFGRASS: 0.9 grams (one level scoop) per 1,000 sq ft. Mix 0.9 grams of Empero with 1-2 gallons of water and 2 teaspoons nonionic surfactant.
WILL EMPERO CONTROL NUTSEDGE WITHOUT HARMING MY LAWN? Empero is a selective herbicide formulated to target yellow and purple nutsedge as well as green Kyllinga without negatively impacting the established turfgrass species. Never apply to newly seeded or stressed lawns.
TIPS TO IMPROVE NUTSEDGE CONTROL: Apply when weeds are actively growing and not stressed from heat or drought. If the soil is dry, water the night before application. Repeat applications may be needed for larger weeds and green Kyllinga. Allow several weeks for complete weed kill.
